Women's Ministry
We are first and foremost Christ Followers and it is our heartbeat to grow in our relationship with God and one another. We invite women anywhere along their spiritual journey to join with us - to learn, play, give, grow closer, and stretch our faith, doing life together.
We gather for…
Weekend Retreats
– a time away to refresh, renew and connect with other women both in deep reflection and rip-roaring fun
Day Conferences – to worship, enjoy inspirational speakers, enjoy a day away from the ordinary
Games nights – to chat, snack, learn new games… just plain have fun
Study Groups – weekly Bible studies during Fall/Winter/Spring to nurture our understanding of the Word of God and assist us in obeying what we learn
Connections at the pool –Friday afternoon gatherings over the summer months at the home of Lynda Letts to cool off, enjoy the sun and one another and leave encouraged
Serving at the Inn of the Good Shepherd – in a rhythm with other ministry groups at Lighthouse we take our turns at preparing and serving a meal to the less fortunate of our city
It has been said that “God made us human beings, not human doings!” So these are the common goals at all our gatherings – to celebrate that we are loved by God and to help us become all he meant us to BE. Relationships take precedence over programs. We plan activities in order to enrich each other and to allow us to express God’s gifting in and through us and it grows our souls and brings us joy.
At each new event we invite your ideas and suggestions and welcome your involvement, ladies. You are uniquely gifted and shaped and are able to help bring ideas to life, to make them fun, innovative and meaningful in our walk with Christ together.
